TAMU, Blinn, and BTD IDs are now being accepted on all TAMU off campus routes in Bryan & College Station. Individuals without an ID will be allowed to ride and given information on how to obtain an ID.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide affordable and convenient transportation services and infrastructure to allow the general public access to goods and services, as well as to provide public transportation as a high quality, attractive, convenient, and efficient alternative to the automobile.


About Us

We are a general public transportation provider. We operate Fixed Routes, Waterway Cruisers, Paratransit Service, Demand and Response, and Park & Rides. The District was founded in 1974 and covered the seven counties of the Brazos Valley. We now serve sixteen counties in Central and East Texas covering 13,333 square miles with a population of 932,441.  We are a political sub-division of the State of Texas and receive funding through the Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).


Brazos Transit District (BTD) hereby gives public notice that it is BTD's policy to assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and related statutes and regulations in all programs and activities. Title VI requires that no person in the United States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.


Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI has a right to file a formal complaint with BTD. Any such complaint must be in writing or by phone and filed with BTD Title VI Coordinator within one hundred and eighty (180) days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence. Title VI Discrimination Complaint Forms may be obtained from this office at no cost to the complainant by calling 1.800.272.0039.
